41. An employee who uses his or her personal vehicle at the request of the employer is entitled to an indemnity of $0.50 per kilometre travelled if the employee satisfies the criteria in subparagraph 2 of the first paragraph of section 9.
An employee is also entitled to that indemnity if the employer requests that the employee travel with his or her personal vehicle to a site situated outside a 40 km radius from the office of the employer. In that case, the indemnity is calculated from the employee’s usual place of residence.
